| Do I need any software on My PC? |
| IdealGallery uses a bespoke Content Management System (CMS) for updating your site - this works within your browser meining there is no software needed on your PC. |
| What is a CMS? |
| CMS stands for Content Management System. This is a setup which allows you to update information - pages and images, without having to be concerned about the way it's presented. The CMS will take care of all formatting, positioning and presentation. |
| Does the CMS work on a Mac? |
| The CMS is independent of PC type so will work equally on a PC and an Apple Mac.

| Does the CMS work with Firefox? |
| The CMS works with IE6 and above as well as Firefox v1 and above. |
| Capacity |
| How many pictures can I upload? |
| Each package has an upper limit on disk space rather than the number of photos. Alongside each package is a calculation of the number of photographs which can be loaded according to the average size of files loaded. View the sample photo resolution page for an idea of the quality available for each resolution. |
| How many galleries can I have? |
| You can have as many galleries as you like subject to the disk space limit for your package |
| Can I categorise my galleries? |
| You may also create sub-galleries (and sub-sub galleries if you like)
e.g a sports photographer could have galleries for football, rugby & tennis, beneath the football gallery could be a sub-gallery each for professional and amateur football, beneath each of these there could be sub-galleries based on individual teams. |
| Can I increase the capacity available? |
| You can upgrade (or downgrade) your package at any time. We want to provide a service which is adaptable and allows your website to grow with your needs
There is a £10 charge each time you change package so it is best if you can estimate the amount of space you need at the outset. |

| How are my photos kept safe? |
| We use a number of techniques to secure your photos
1. Right Click protection which prevents simple downloading.
2. Watermarking using a predefined IdealGallery overlay, or one supplied by you
3. File size restriction – all files should be saved at 72ppi , this makes them unsuitable for all but the most lo-res printing.

| You may assign an optional password to each gallery you upload |
| How will clients access their galleries? |
| There are a number of ways in which clients can see the images from a wedding / portrait / event or other commissioned shoot.
For a website created within IdealGallery
1. Browsing the Galleries on your website.
2. Each gallery will have a unique web address about which you can advise the clients e.g. www.acephotography.co.uk?peterandjane
For an external website which is using the "Gallery Only" option of Idealgallery
1. Browsing the Galleries on your website

3. By keying in a password on the your website. We can provide you with "Drop-In HTML" which will take your clients from your website to their gallery

| Is there anything I need to do ? |
| Since you are being charged according to the amount of space you use it makes sense for you to reduce your images to the smallest size possible (whilst still making them attractive to visitors). You can use compression software to achieve this. We do not offer this service ourselves but have provided a page for you showing 3rd party products which some of our users have found useful. |
| Domain Name & Email |
| How do I know if my preferred domain name is available? |
| If you choose a .com or .co.uk domain name, we have provided you with our own name checker and the ability to register the domain name yourself with. Otherwise you can check availability for .biz, .net, at www.whois.com. |
| If I register a domain with you - who is the owner? |
| You will retain complete control of the domain. It will be registered to you using the details you supply when you register |
| How long will the domain name registration last and how do I make sure I keep it? |
| .co.uk registration is for 2 years, all other domains e.g .com, .biz, .net are registered for 1 year.
Starting 1 month before the expiry date we will send you a reminder to re-register your domain. |
| Do you provide email? |
| We offer an email forwarding service. This means that you can use an address at your own domain e.g. bob@acephotos.co.uk and this will be forwarded to your personal email address e.g acephotos@hotmail.com.
Using email client software like MS Outlook will allow you to send out mails as if they come from your own domain account |

| How long does it take before my site is ‘Live’ ? |
| Your site can be online in a matter of minutes. You can pay online and use a temporary url (web address ) straight away. If you purchase a .com or .co.uk domain name then you can register yourself through our domain supplier. If you want to register any of the other domain names e.g. .net, .biz etc. then you will need to supply us with the details and we will register it on your behalf. We will try to do this within 24 hours. For all domains you should allow up to 48 hours before they become generally available to the browsing public! |

| How can I take payment online? |
| All galleries which are uploaded can be optionally set to allow purchase of images. The system is intrgrated with PayPal so all you need is a Paypal account and you are able to take orders straight away - the client does not have to have a Paypal account, they can pay by Debit or Credit card. |
| What commission do you take on images purchased? |
| There is no charge for Paypal - either for setup or commission. We have designed the system so that eCommerce is an integral part and is included in your idealgallery package price. |
| How will I be informed about purchases? |
| You will receive an email from Paypal and one from us detailing the images, quantity and product - size, frame, paper type etc. |
| What products can I sell? |
| You have complete flexibility over the photo sizes and medium that you make available. When a client clicks on 'Add to Basket' they will be presented with a choice of products that you have created. |
